Summer Garden Event 2009

A fine Saturday, 29th August last, saw
our second annual Open Garden event.
Once again we were entertained by the
extremely enjoyable Enderby Youth Band.

However this year saw the additional
attractions of a bouncy castle and various
charity stalls; R.S.P.B, The Bark
foundation, City of Sanctuary, N.C.T and
Café Mama, Community Police, children's
games, quizzes, tombola, second-hand
bookstall, tea and cake and a delicious
barbecue by ‘Entropy’.

 
The event was officially opened by Sir Peter Soulsby MP and, after expenditure, realised £250 for Chapel funds. A quite unprecedented number of people attended making it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
